How was your first rehearsal?

Friendly people and wrote names down so could remember for next time  

Full on – some practising and some beltin out learnt songs - pianist Michael was great

What encouraged you to join Waltham Forest Community Choir?

Love of community singing through school (Signing Together) scouts, rugby clubs etc etc.

We saw advert in local paper and this coincided with my work choir coming to an end mid 2017 due to dwindling numbers   


What changes have you seen since you joined?

Larger numbers - Jamie appointed as Musical Director.

What, so far has  been the highlight of your time with Waltham Forest Community Choir?

Summer concert July 2019 Waterscapes - The River
Xmas singalong and section performances
Beethoven NEIN! at the Barbican with E Ensemle and professional orchestra - s t a r g a z e
 

How, if at all, has the choir impacted your day to day life?

Continues to rekindle joy of community song plus wider interest and playing  range of music at home and visiting open mike nights plus range of concerts where Waltham Forest Community Choir choir membera sing or arrange music events.

What are your hopes for the future?


Continues in previous form pre Covid and we can return to St Mar'y's which is to be remodelled internally.

Continue to sing a range of songs and to perform in the community and at regular events as well as being tested eg Messiah choruses, Beethoven NEIN! etc.
